Fluit Studio is an architecture firm specialising in Passivhaus design. Diana, the founder, approached us to create a website that embodied their values: sustainability, precision, and purposeful simplicity.
The Strategy
Our approach centred on flow and restraint. The strategy was to design a digital space that felt as intentional and efficient as the buildings they create: nothing wasted, everything considered.
We used negative space as a design tool to communicate lightness and balance, echoing the firm’s commitment to sustainability and mindful construction. Meanwhile, typography choices leaned toward clean, modern sans-serifs that reinforced clarity and structure, while the overall tone remained grounded and intelligent.
The copywriting played an equally important role with simple, confident language that explains complex concepts with warmth and approachability. This approach supports Fluit Studio’s positioning the firm as both experts and educators in sustainable design.
The Solution
The finished website is a study in flow and function. Clean lines, generous white space, and a neutral palette create a sense of calm and precision — a visual reflection of the Passivhaus ethos.
We structured the layout to guide visitors through the firm’s process and projects with ease, prioritising readability and rhythm. Subtle interactions and animations create gentle movement, mirroring the flow of air and light central to their design principles.
The result is a website that feels architectural in itself..
